Are you familiar in packaging and operating a Hi-Lo? Our client in the Grand Rapids area is looking for multiple Packers to fulfill orders. This is in a manufacturing facility where our client produces aluminum extrusions for sign fabrication.

Employment: Temp to Hire

Pay Rate: 16.00 per Hour

Shift: Full Time, 1st Shift

Requirements:

• Able to work in a fairly physically demanding role
• Ability to lift up to 45lbs individually, and up to 75lbs with team assist
• Ability to use basic math and calculate measurements
• Ability to use and operate a hi-lo

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting, moving and packaging extrusions
  • Use Hi-Lo to pull extrusions from racks and bring to wrapper for packaging
  • Inspect extrusions on conveyor belt to be wrapped
  • Once wrapped; extrusions will be placed inside a crate
• Using measurement tools such as tape measure, scale, calculator and various other tools as needed
• Reading and filling out paperwork for packaging process
  • Reading pick ticket to know what extrusion and what quantity is needed to be pulled
  • Filling out bundle sheets on computer: listing parts and number bundles
  • Using Sage BusinessWorks for printing labels
• Standing, Bending, walking, lifting and carrying package products
• Other duties as assigned
